Indiana Casino Update: Flood Closes Caesars, Tropicana OKs Some Smoking

Ever since the pandemic has hit the world, businesses like casinos are consistently in the news. Some are because of the losses they have incurred while others are because they have opened up again after a long interval.

Annual Flood Ha Affected Caesars Casino

Indiana is a great place to gamble and has some renowned casinos. Caesars Casino is a well-known one and also is a top revenue generator among all the casinos operating in the state. Well, it has been almost two decades that Caesars has been facing flood-related issues and there is no relief from this problem still.

If we take some recent news into account, this casino was closed down twice in the year 2018 and 2019, and that too in the same month of February. Caesars has again hit the news in March as they announced that they are forced to close down again as flooding from the Ohio river presents some risks. Also, because of the river being located just across from the casino, the authorities don’t want any urgency or problems.

It has been found that this flooding has occurred due to the persistent rainfall that has been in place for one week. This has caused the river to swell and cause damage to the nearby areas. Caesars has told the media that they have taken this step to avoid health risks on their customers and workers. They also added that they will waste no time in reopening themselves as soon as the water level drops below the alert level.

Tropicana Waves Green Flag For The Smokers While Playing Slot

Casinos from all across the world have started to reopen and gambling life is gradually returning to its place. But, the entertainment stuff is not yet back like before as the gambling experience is still incomplete without some drinks and smokes. However, Tropicana Evansville has announced that they are ready to allow people to smoke and drink in their casino but only when they are engaged in playing Slot.

The casino has given great news for some people while continuing with the alcohol and smoking ban on other table games. This was announced through a Facebook post and people had mixed reactions to this. Players of the casino have loved this news as Tropicana has given good signs of progress and has told that it is only a matter of few more months before everything gets back to normal.
